We’re planning pricing around how people actually use a structured learning workspace—not by counting chat messages.

Pestal is not priced like a chatbot because it is not just a chatbot.
It helps users build, teach, study, practice, assess, refine, and reuse complete learning experiences inside a workspace—courses, lessons, resources, assessments, feedback, and progress.
Students invited by teachers
Students invited into a teacher-created class should not pay. They learn inside the class experience.
Independent learner access
Building your own study workspace (courses you generate) is a different plan from being invited into a class.

Is Pestal free right now?
Yes. Pestal is currently free during founding access. The plans on this page are preview structures, and no billing is active yet.
Are students charged when they join a teacher’s class?
No. Students invited by a teacher or school can use assigned class features for free.
Can students generate their own courses?
Students in a teacher-created class cannot generate full courses under the invited experience. Later, a student could optionally add an independent learner plan to build their own study workspace.
What counts as a generated unit?
A generated unit is a structured instructional unit created by Pestal—typically a bundle of lessons plus related learning materials. The exact definition may evolve as the platform grows.
What happens if a user reaches a monthly generation limit?
In the future, users may wait until the next cycle or upgrade to a plan with more capacity. We are not enforcing limits from this page today.
Is school pricing public?
Not as a fixed table. Schools and districts vary in enrollment, teacher count, privacy requirements, integrations, onboarding, and usage. We scope plans in a conversation.
Will early users get notice before billing begins?
Yes. If and when billing is introduced, early users will receive advance notice before any paid plan begins.
Can tutors use Pestal differently than teachers?
Yes. Tutors often need client-specific learning paths, reusable templates across clients, and progress review workflows that differ from classroom rosters.
