Pestal is an AI-powered learning platform built around real educational workflows. It helps you turn ideas, standards, lessons, notes, and resources into structured experiences—with courses, objectives, assessments, question banks, tutoring, and progress working together instead of living in separate tabs and documents.
Not just a chatbot: Pestal organizes AI around planning, lesson creation, checks for understanding, practice, feedback, and review—so outputs become something you can teach, take, and improve.
Whether you lead a classroom, support one student, or study on your own—Pestal is meant to feel like it was designed with your workflow in mind.
Take public courses, build your own study courses, practice skills, and get help when you feel stuck.
Create courses, refine lessons, manage assessments, and turn your expertise into student-ready learning experiences.
Build personalized learning paths, prepare sessions, and create targeted practice for every student you support.
Organize shared curriculum, support teachers, and build trusted instructional resources across your school.
Find structured support for learning goals, test preparation, enrichment, or independent study.
Pestal ties course planning, lesson creation, assessment, practice, feedback, tutoring, and review into one structured system. The point is not to add another novelty—it is to give you a serious workspace where AI accelerates the work you were already going to do, with room for judgment, revision, and reuse.
Pestal was built by John Segreto—a teacher, coach, engineer, and builder who has lived the education problem from more than one angle. John teaches at Delbarton across math, digital skills, robotics and engineering, AI, business, and personal finance courses, and helps lead robotics and engineering work with students. He also coaches rugby, where discipline, mentorship, and steady growth matter as much as any lesson plan.
John Segreto built Pestal from a rare combination of classroom experience and technical depth. He earned a Master of Science from Cornell University with a focus in Computational Fluid Dynamics, along with a minor in Computer Science, and his background spans physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, engineering, numerical methods, and software development. While at Cornell, he taught Numerical Methods for Engineers as a teaching assistant, helping students use computation to solve real engineering problems. Today, he teaches computer science, robotics, AI, digital skills, physics, and mathematics while continuing to build AI-powered applications and operational AI systems. Pestal is the result of that intersection: a platform shaped by someone who understands advanced technology, but also the daily reality of teaching, learning, planning, coaching, and supporting students.
Pestal did not start as a technical experiment detached from classrooms. It started from the daily reality of teaching: planning lessons, supporting students, building assessments, organizing materials, and watching how much potential is lost when learning support is fragmented or unstructured.
Pestal was built by someone who understands both the classroom and the systems behind modern AI. The platform comes from years spent teaching, coaching, designing curriculum, supporting students, and building technical systems—not from a distance, but from inside the work.
Classroom & coaching
Active teaching, student support, and program-level engineering mentorship.
Technical depth
CFD, numerical methods, and shipped AI systems—serious tooling, not slidesware.
Curriculum judgment
Materials meant to be taught, reviewed, and improved—not only generated.
We believe AI should strengthen the people at the center of learning. Schools need trusted systems; tutors need personalization without endless prep; teachers stay in control; students can own their learning when structure and progress are visible—not buried in a thread.
AI drafts and accelerates; humans decide what ships, what gets taught, and what learners see.
Clear paths, visible progress, and personal study spaces so learning does not disappear into a chat thread.
Shared libraries and reviewable materials—not one-off generations scattered across tools.
Structured shells you adapt per learner, reuse across sessions, and refine over time.
Objectives, lessons, banks, and feedback live in a workspace you can audit, edit, and teach from.
Enough guidance to move people forward; enough flexibility for different subjects, ages, and goals.
A grounded workflow—so AI supports how learning actually gets built and delivered.
A goal, subject, standard, resource, or gap—Pestal meets you where planning actually begins.
Units, objectives, and pacing take shape as something you can review—not a wall of text.
Edit explanations, activities, and emphasis until the lesson matches how you teach.
Checks that align to objectives, plus reusable items for practice and review.
Students move through structured paths with tutoring and feedback tied to the course—not generic answers.
Improve materials each term; keep a durable library your school or practice can trust.
Whether you are teaching a class, studying for a test, tutoring a student, or building curriculum for a school, Pestal gives you a structured workspace for moving learning forward.
Pestal is where learning gets organized.
