Private by default—only members see course content.
Invite-only membership; you control who joins.
Optional public visibility when your workspace is ready.
API and server routes enforce membership for course actions; see the Privacy Policy for how Pestal handles course data.

Courses stay invite-only until you choose to make a workspace more visible. Member lists and materials remain scoped to the group unless you change settings you control.
